This conference is specifically organized for professionals working in or with the poultry industry, such as chicken catchers, manufacturers of transport containers and housing systems, and slaughterhouse personnel. The focus will be on sharing practical experiences, scientific insights, and improved practices that promote animal welfare.

Confirmed keynote speakers include:

  • Victor Lima (Brazil) – on reducing heat stress and Brazil’s leadership in upright broiler catching
  • Donald Broom (UK) – pioneer in animal welfare science and one of the first to study laying hen welfare during catching and loading.
  • Peter Knapen (NL) – director of a catching company, sharing insights and recent developments

In addition, Eyes on Animals will share concerns and best practices based on years of field inspections.
